This straight up sled doesn’t have too much in common with the subtly subversive Javanese puppet theatre “Wayang Kulit”. I mean on one hand, UNESCO called the Wayang Kulit a, ‘masterpiece of oral and intangible heritage of humanity’, while on the other hand, our ‘SHADOW PUPPET’ was referred to as, “the squash version of our back-catalogue SHADOW model.”
We originally worked with Chris “Critter” Salisbury on redesigning a clean wave favourite back in 2013, where Crit wanted a similar outline but a reduction in length for more critical positioning. So, this baby is even more elliptical in the outline than the Shadow, which combined with a squash tail option not only excels in the pocket but has release in all the right parts of the wave.
The round tail option then offers extra hold in the barrel but also transitions silky smoothly rail-to-rail. The sexy update to a best selling pocket rocket and a perfect board for a traveling tube bender. In hindsight, if you surf this board in front of a setting sun, you may well resemble the dancing puppet figures of the Javanese Wayang.

A capped “EXPRESS” option can be added at a fee of $50 AUD.
All discounted, factory second, or preloved boards will be subject to standard freighting costs, with quotes available upon request. In most instances, freight does not exceed $100 AUD within mainland Australia.
