The globally travelled, highly rated ‘BULL DOVE’ returns after much anticipation. The name still suggests it all; a raging “bull”, but perfectly tamed by timeless shortboard design and clean, pure lines, hence the “dove” part of the title. Well, that and the fact that we wanted to pay homage to our powerhouse model signatory, Fraser Dovell.
Since the conception of the BD, Fraser has literally travelled the globe, most notably around his participation in the Award-Winning surf films, ‘A Corner of the Earth’ and ‘Kamchatka’. This opportunity has allowed him to develop the original 2019 shape to where it is today: a more versatile, more rideable workhorse, but with NO less performance.
How?! There are 4 key updates;
i- the board now possesses an even deeper single concave from nose to tail, deepest between the feet, which gives controlled lift, with a wild amount of speed, sensitivity, and drive.
ii- this is harnessed by a slight reduction in entry rocker, also assisting with paddle power, but overall, the board has a medium rocker suitable for any aspiring grom dom through to your seasoned nooner producer.
iii- a widening of the nose and tail, which not only creates a straighter rail line, giving the board more drive and speed, but it also widens the overall the plan-shape making it more forgiving and ride-able. All this combined with the signature curved round square tail makes for a silky-smooth rail-to-rail board, capable of hyper-quick and ultra-responsive directional changes.
iv- lastly, the BD2 has a slightly fuller rail, again promoting rideability but when combined with the above changes preserves the immersive performance the BD is known for.
The BULL DOVE 2 is the ultimate “modern” shortboard, pretty and predictable at a glance, perfectly blended for versatility, our go-to for all levels of high-performance surfing. Again, many are already calling this “the best shorty we have ever made”.

A capped “EXPRESS” option can be added at a fee of $50 AUD.
All discounted, factory second, or preloved boards will be subject to standard freighting costs, with quotes available upon request. In most instances, freight does not exceed $100 AUD within mainland Australia.
